RACIST APOLOGISTS

Dawn Lawrie, the former Northern Territory Anti-Discrimination Commissioner was Chairperson for the ‘Nutherway 2000 Land Access Workshop held at the Mandorah Hotel, on April 18, 2000. Ms Lawrie is well aware of the racism at the Mandorah Hotel, having been responsible for investigating (and rejecting) our initial complaints to the Anti-Discrimination Commission in 1998.

Dawn ( who told us in October 1999, "you’re being screwed" by the NT Anti-Discrimination Commission ) is campaigning to be Mayor of Darwin and needs to repair her public image, after accepting complaints from P.A.R.I.A.H. that exposed racism and corruption in the NT.

The bashing of an Aboriginal man by Mandorah Hotel staff in November 1999, obviously did not concern this Workshop - in fact, P.A.R.I.A.H. believe the Mandorah Hotel were being financially rewarded by the NT Government for their contribution to concealing racism in the NT.

Chairing a meeting at a racist venue, to enable mining and petroleum interests easier access to Aboriginal land, should appease the racist Government that removed Dawn as Commissioner.
