How the Northern
Territory has been run ...and will things
change under the NT Australian Labor Party..?

In 1995 - Three armed vigilantes stole everything I owned from my home on the (then) 'disputed' Kenbi Claim. Myself and four Aboriginal men caught the thieves red-handed. One of the thieves pointed a pistol at my head and threatened to kill me. Another had a firearm held at the ready. It took NT Police two weeks to visit my home in response to a complaint involving an armed home-invasion and theft. (Compare this response to the harassment I've received for telling the truth about racism on the Cox Peninsula.) In the three months prior to the NT Supreme Court case -- local thugs tried to drive me out of my home and from Mandorah. They threatened to kill me constantly and forced my car -- with my partner aboard -- off the road. NT Police were well aware of this intimidation and probably encouraged it. |

In the NT Supreme Court I was treated as the criminal. It was very much a political trial. The Judge dealt with me with open contempt. Despite the facts ...The defendant owned a 9mm automatic
pistol. He had hired a truck (with his license) on the days my home was
emptied. As well as the testimony of five witnesses ...the cowardly bastard
was acquitted. None of my goods were ever returned. NT Police collusion is easily proven. Police knew the gunman's name two days after the robbery (the driver's license) then spent the six weeks it took to 'catch' the thieves 'fixing' things. Imagine if I were in the gunman's situation. I spent eight days in prison earlier this year for my part in an East Timor protest. The armed vigilantes did not spend a day in jail. (The year before I was imprisoned for trespassing at my home of (then) seven years because I complained of discrimination.) Police deleted incriminating parts of a taped transcript
that proved the vigilantes had been at my home previously. They did not
notify the jury of these deletions. NT Police only charged one of the vigilantes with
a firearms offense and then only for assault. The Police Prosecutor (the
ill-named Mr. Noble) claimed that as I had not seen the thieves steal
my property the previous night, they would not charge them for that theft.
So much for circumstantial evidence. The NT Police are hypocritical, racist, uniformed thugs. They are cowards who have a too recent history of killing Aboriginal people en masse. Since I reported local racism to the NT Anti-Discrimination Commission they have hounded me mercilessly. I have had enough of these criminals and the aptly named NT Criminal Justice system that supports their racism and corruption. |

Essentially the racists that ran the Northern Territory, thought I would move from land they coveted, once I had been robbed. Then they used local thugs to intimidate me. (They believe everyone is cowardly as they are.) When that failed they simply perverted justice. Recent court cases have been exercises in how to deny -- an unrepresented appellant -- justice. Authorised - Mick Lambe *Lionel Robberds, QC. "Conduct that intimidates, threatens, abuses and physically and verbally assaults, is not only un-Australian but is also criminal." Obviously only when applied to Trade Unionists not to NT Police officers. *Re: Politically-motivated investigation into Building Industry. |
