Police say pathologists will study bones found near Darwin to determine if they are part of human remains.

The bones, along with fragments of cloth, part of a shoe and 20 cannabis plants, were found at a burnt-out campfire at Mandorah, on the western side of Darwin Harbour.

Officers discovered the objects while searching for two men, George Martin and David Loader, who have been missing since Thursday.

Northern Territory police have confirmed bones uncovered yesterday in a campfire near Mandorah are human.

Police found the bones with burnt items of clothing while searching for 64-year-old George Martin, who has been missing since last Thursday.

Mr Martin's family is assisting police in investigations into whether the remains are that of the missing man.

A search is continuing for David Loader, who has also been missing in the area since last Thursday.

Evidence of “abuse of office” and attempts to “pervert justice” by the Cox Peninsula Community Government Council.

The following is presented as an aid to Mr George Martin who is being persecuted by the CPCG (Cox Peninsula Community Government) Council. I have personally witnessed the extraordinary lengths employed by the NT Police on behalf of these unprincipled bigots, to exclude, intimidate and harass him.

Mr Martin must contend with the lies of a corrupt and undemocratic collective - that ‘turns’ witnesses and victimises complainants - in his fight for justice.

"We notified Police of 'B's attempt to run Mr Martin down, over a month ago. They refused to respond. We finally, spoke to Senior Constable **** 25th April 1999, about the matter. He stated, Police receive, about "twenty complaints a week" about Mr Martin."

"You people, hound this old eccentric, because you are bored and socially insecure. His erratic behaviour, is a direct result, of your bigotry and intimidation."

"'B' is the 'gentleman' who orchestrated the campaign of intimidation against me, after my home was stripped by armed vigilantes. 5. The relationship between the CPCG Council and the NT Police is such, that on two occasions when the CPCG Town Clerk, Mr Watson called for assistance regarding Mr Martin, a sixty-year old pensioner (who is guilty of nothing but rightful irreverence) the Tactical Response Group arrived to arrest this harmless old man.

Council and Police continue to harass Mr Martin, who is currently prevented from using the ferry because of a 12 month Trespass Notice, suggested and supplied to the ferry operator by NT Police. Mr Martin's erratic behaviour is due to constant harassment. We can empathise with George's predicament.

Persecuted and killed for individualism

George was driven from his home in Mandorah by the NT Police and local Council and forced to live in the bush. This old man cycled 130 kms (80 miles) to shop for supplies in Darwin, because of a ban preventing him from using the local ferry.

George refused to be driven off the Cox Peninsula. Even when his camps were burnt out and his dogs poisoned. George loved his dogs.

An auxillary NT Police Officer - now a (Klan)dorah Councillor - pressured a Mandorah resident to move George off his property in Mandorah.

I have a written statement to this effect from the Resident involved.

Outside Court today (10 July,2001) we met a Mandorah resident who laughed about George's murder. The same resident was at a party in Mandorah two days ago, where he stated, they were celebrating George's death.

David Loader is the alleged killer. A crazed individual, I considered dangerous.

George was an eccentric - with a truly anarchistic spirit.

We are glad we saw him recently in Darwin and had a talk.

He was still intent on sueing the Mandorah bigots and showed his usual contempt for the Klandorah Town Clerk, Graham Watson.

The local Council and the NT Police, made George Martin's last few years on this planet as painful and as difficult as they possibly could. Why?

And why are you ("Southerners") allowing these people to treat us "white trash" and Aboriginal people this way?
